If you are interested in becoming a member of the YACB, we welcome your presence!! Frequently Asked Questions with Answers below.
Who can join?
Anyone! Sighted, blind or partially sighted. There lie no boundaries.
Is there a membership fee?
Yes there is. $20--It’s great for all levels of the American Council of the Blind (Local, State & National.).
Whets the process of joining?
The following steps take place:
Contact one of the officers to let them know you want to join.
Schedule & attend a regular meeting.
State you are interested. A form will be given to you.
Fill form out and bring with you (along with your $20 dues) to next available meeting.
And that’s it! No expensive or embarrassing initiation ceremonies to partake.
What are my duties?
Helping us grow our organization by recruiting friends and family to join. Helping out with events (including fundraisers and programs.).
Is there an age limit?
Yes there is. You must be 18 yrs or older to join on your own. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent represent them until they are of age.
